Messermeister Oliva Luxe LX686-23 koksmes, 23 cm

Bought the 23cm version of the Oliva Luxe as a new workhorse in the kitchen. The feeling of the knife is quite comfortable, it is a bit front heavy, but that is to be expected going above the 21cm range. Edge retention is about what is to be expected of the hardness, that is to say quite good. For context after 3 weeks use in a professional kitchen the blade is still sharp enough to cut tomatoes or large quantities of raw meat. To be honest you are paying a bit extra for the olive wood handle and look of the knife, slightly cheaper knives will probably perform similar. No problem for me personally as I value the aesthetics as well as the performance of a knife.
